WHAT IS VIRTUAL REALITY?

What is Virtual Reality (VR)?

Virtual Reality is a computer generated environment that allows our space commanders to experience a variety of different experiences through visual (Head-mounted display), physical (Hand Controllers) and audio (Noise-Cancelling Headset).

WHO CAN PLAY VIRTUAL REALITY?

Is there an age limit?

Yes, you must be 7+ years old to play. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parental/guardian consent. Some experiences have age restrictions on them.

Are there health or physical restrictions?

It depends on the VR experience. VR is a fully immersive and interactive experience, which often requires you to look around, use your hands and move your legs. However, some VR experiences require less mobility. At ViRal we offer a variety of experiences to cover the needs to all our ViRalnauts.

Please ensure that the physical nature of Virtual Reality, will not affect any health-related or medical conditions that you may have. Examples: Do not use the headset when you are: Tired; need sleep; under the influence of alcohol or drugs; hung-over; have digestive problems; under emotional stress or anxiety; or when suffering from cold, flu, headaches, migraines, or earaches, as this can increase your susceptibility to adverse symptoms. We recommend seeing a doctor before using the headset if you are pregnant, elderly, have pre-existing binocular vision abnormalities or psychiatric disorders, or suffer from a heart condition or other serious medical condition

Is there a height requirement?

No, but for the best Virtual Reality (VR) experience it is optimal for the player to be between 4ft (122cm) – 7ft (212cm).

HOW WILL YOU BE EXPERIENCING VIRTUAL REALITY?

What virtual reality hardware is used at ViRal?

At Viral, we use the HTC Vive Virtual Reality system, which includes the following hardware:

  • Headset or Head Mounted Display (HMD)
  • Controllers
  • Base Stations

Can I play more than one game/experience in a session?

Of course! All our VR Experiences are available for you to play at any time during your session.

Can I play a game with my friends or other people?

Yes, we do offer several multiplayer VR games. You can check them out by going to our games pages and clicking on multiplayer experiences to know what we can offer an adventurous group of ViRalnauts.

Can I play if I wear prescription glasses?

The HTC Vive headset fits most regular sized glasses. It is also adjustable, so you can adjust the lens distance and focus on making your virtual reality experience one of a kind.

Will I be running into the wall?

This situation is avoided by using HTC’s Chaperone guidance system, which sets boundaries for your play area.

 

How are our headsets cleaned?

After every virtual reality session, we clean the equipment with anti-bacterial non-alcoholic wipes.

Where can I put my stuff?

You will be assigned a mini locker before your session, where you can safely store your belongings. Hooks are provided in your space pods to hang your jackets.

When should I arrive for my booking?

  • If you watched the tutorial online, please arrive 10 minutes before your session to sign in.
  • If you still need to watch the tutorial, please come in 15 minutes before your session.

How much is a session?

Please visit our Booking page for pricing details. All of our 1-hour experiences are priced at $35+tax.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Credit Cards are required for all online experiences. Cash, Debit, and Credit can be used for walk-in experiences (Please call ahead of time if you are walking in to confirm availability).

How can I make changes to my booking?

You can make changes to your booking online or email up to 24 hours before your session. If your booking is in less than 24 hours, you will need to call us at +1 905-232-5577 to make the changes. (This policy applies to changes only, no cancellations)

What is our booking cancellation policy?

Call us + 1 905-223-5577 during business hours or email us at booking@viralarcade.ca to cancel your booking, in accordance with our cancellation and refund policy below:

48 Hour Notice: Full Refund

24-48 Hour Notice: 50% Refund

Less than 24 Hours: You have already been recruited as part of the spaceship crew, refunds are not possible at this point.

How many sessions can I book?

An unlimited amount. Previous spaceship crew members are always welcome to stay onboard.

How many people can a booth accommodate?

One person, however, two people can time share.

Can I Walk-In At ViRal?

Of course, we have missions launching all the time and we can’t wait to get you ready for the next mission. We do prefer if you used our online system to book ahead of time or if you call us @(905) 232 5577 to guarantee your spot.

How Much Does The VR Experience Cost?

Both our Time Share Experience and the One Hour Arcade Experience are $35 + HST. During this period you are given a one hour designated VR station where you are given access to the HTC Vive head-mounted display, two handheld controllers, a headset and 10ft x 8 ft place space. We also provide 15 min. of preparation and training and provide our ViRalnauts with 20+ Virtual Reality Experiences. To Book a session, please visit our Booking page.
